What is the reason for white discharge during pregnancy?
Since the last few weeks im noticing more white discharge than usual, no smell or itching just more of it. Im 14 weeks now. Just wondering what causes it and if its something every pregnant woman gets?
I got worried seeing more discharge than usual. Did others also have this increase? My gynac said its normal in pregnancy as long as its white and not itchy, so I calmed down.
My doctor said its called leucorrhea and happens due to extra hormones and blood flow, mild milky white and odourless is normal. She told me to watch for itching, smell or colour change. I felt relieved it was common.
Normal white discharge is fine, but if it turns yellow, green, smelly, or comes with itching or burning, please see your gynac, could be infection. Also any watery gush later, get checked.
