What is the reason of abdominal pain during pregnancy?
Been getting this dull pain on the lower side of my tummy on and off. Not severe but it makes me anxious every time. Is this just the body stretching or something to watch out for?
I keep getting these little aches near my sides and it scares me sometimes. Did others also feel this around second trimester? My doc said its round ligament thing but I still get anxious na.
Beta, often its just gas and the baby growing. Warm water and light walking after meals helped my daughter a lot. But if pain is severe ya bleeding ho, then no home tricks, straight to doctor.
Mild pulling type pain is usually the ligaments stretching as uterus grows, very normal especially when u change position fast. Gas and constipation also cause belly pain in pregnancy. But sharp or one sided strong pain is different, that needs checking.
Not all tummy pain is the same. If its constant, severe, with bleeding or cramps, please call ur gynac immediately, dont wait. I learnt this the hard way. Mild stretching aches are okay but trust ur gut for the strong ones.
For me a lot of the early belly discomfort was actually acidity and gas, not anything serious. Eating small portions helped. Still I always told my gynac about any new pain just to be sure.
