What is the relation between thyroid and pregnancy?
My gynac added thyroid test in first visit and I didnt understand why it matters so much. I have no symptoms, but report is pending. How does thyroid affect pregnancy?
Oh, thyroid and pregnancy are like those two friends who are always together but sometimes fight! Seriously though, it's a big deal. Your hormones go crazy during pregnancy, and thyroid is a major player in that game, affecting everything. But docs are super good at managing it, so don't sweat it too much!
Thyroid health is incredibly important in pregnancy, especially early on. My doctor stressed how vital stable thyroid levels are for preventing complications and ensuring healthy baby development. Please discuss this thoroughly with your doctor for careful monitoring and management throughout.
Thyroid health is super important for both mom and baby's brain development. I had thyroid issues during my pregnancy, so my gynac checked my levels every few weeks and adjusted my medication. Regular follow-up with your doctor is non-negotiable for a healthy outcome.
I can't give medical advice, but from my experience, my doctor was very particular about checking my thyroid levels right from the start. They said it's super important for both me and the baby's development, especially for brain growth. So it definitely has a big role, ask your doc.
