What is the right position of sleeping during pregnancy?
Im 26 weeks now and my belly is making it so hard to get comfortable at night. I keep waking up on my back and then panic. Whats the correct way to sleep, and does the side really matter that much? Im so tired yaar.
My gynac said left side is ideal in later pregnancy as it improves circulation and avoids pressing on a major vein. She told me to avoid lying flat on the back for long in the third trimester. A pregnancy pillow made following this so much easier.
Right position, ha, in third trimester every position feels wrong. I sleep on my left with about four pillows like a fort. Honestly whatever lets you sleep an hour straight feels like a win at this point.
Sleeping on your left side is what is usually recommended, especially later on, it is best for blood flow to the baby. I used a pillow between my knees and one behind my back. Dont stress if you flip in your sleep, just settle back on the side.
