My doc said it depends on your starting BMI, the healthy weight gain range is different for everyone. She gave me a target range based on my body and tracked it each visit. So there is no single number, your gynac will tell you yours.
There isnt one right weight, it really depends on your height and pre pregnancy weight. The balanced approach is steady healthy gain, not too little or too much. Your doctor will guide the right range for you.
Because of my GD, my doctor watched my weight gain quite carefully. Too much gain can complicate things, so balanced eating mattered. Please follow your gynac for your personal target rather than a general figure.
