Keep reading about estrogen and progesterone everywhere but honestly dont fully get what estrogen actually does for the baby and body. Just curious to understand my own body better. Can someone explain in simple words?
Estrogen basically helps your body and the placenta support the baby, boosts blood supply and helps everything grow. It's also why you get those mood swings and changes haha. Totally a normal and important part of pregnancy.
My pregnancy app had a whole section on this. Estrogen increases blood flow, helps the baby's organs form and gets your body ready for breastfeeding. It rises through the pregnancy, the app said it's behind a lot of the body changes we feel.
I read estrogen rises a lot during pregnancy and helps the baby develop and your body adjust. It also caused my skin and hair changes I think. Did anyone else feel super emotional, I blame these hormones.
From what my gynac explained, estrogen helps the uterus grow, improves blood flow to the baby, and supports the development of the baby's organs. It also prepares your breasts for feeding later. It's one of the key hormones that keeps the pregnancy going well.
