My doctor wrote a low dose aspirin for me from this week and i was a little surprised, i always thought aspirin is a no during pregnancy. Why is it given to some of us? Would love to understand.
I was given low dose aspirin due to my complications, but please dont take it on your own. The dose and need are decided by the doctor for specific reasons. If yours prescribed it, follow exactly what they said and dont skip checkups.
During my journey I was on low dose aspirin as part of my care, it's common in certain situations. But it was all guided by my specialist with a clear reason. Whatever yours advised, trust them and ask freely if you're unsure.
My gynac prescribed low dose aspirin to me because of a BP and clotting risk, she said it helps blood flow to the placenta. It's only the low dose and only when the doctor advises, not regular aspirin from the shelf. She monitored me closely while I was on it.
