What is the use of l arginine granules during pregnancy?
My gynac added l arginine granules to my list this visit and I forgot to ask why exactly. What is it actually for? Anyone else been prescribed this during pregnancy?
Doctors prescribe L-Arginine granules to improve blood flow to the baby and placenta. It can be slightly expensive but it's an important supplement if the doctor detects any baby growth issues, so do not skip it to cut down pharmacy bills.
Actually, when I was staying at my mummy's place, the gynac gave me these granules in water. Mummy used to mix it for me daily because my scan showed the baby's weight was slightly on the lower side. It really helped improve the blood flow to my little one.
I totally panicked when my doctor wrote L-Arginine, thinking something was wrong with my baby's growth! But my gynac explained it's just to boost blood circulation and amniotic fluid. It's very common and completely safe, so don't worry at all.
Oh, I remember drinking those sweet orange-flavored granules! They are basically prescribed to make sure the baby gets enough oxygen and nutrients, and grows nicely. Honestly, it was the only drink that didn't make me gag, so I happily gulped it down!
Given my PCOS history, I was very careful with everything. My doctor told me these granules help in relaxing blood vessels and improving blood circulation to the fetus. Never take them on your own though, only use them if prescribed.
Trust in God's plan and stay happy. These granules are just to support the baby's weight and placenta health, which is very common. Just take them as prescribed, keep a positive mind, and everything will go smoothly.
