Im in my third trimester now and i keep hearing people say water broke or water breaking near delivery time. I dont fully understand what it actually means and how it feels. Can someone who has been through it explain pls.
I think you mean the water breaking, when the amniotic sac releases fluid, usually a sign labour is near. My doctor said it can be a gush or a slow trickle. She was very clear to call her or come in immediately when it happens.
Please treat water breaking as a go to hospital right away situation, especially if it is early. Mine came before due date and they needed to act fast. Dont wait at home once you suspect it.
Mine broke as a slow leak, not the dramatic gush like in movies. I was confused if it was urine at first. The moment I realised, I called the hospital and went in, that is the right thing to do.
