My husband and I are planning to conceive soon. We're a bit confused about what type of doctor we should consult for our pregnancy journey, like a gynaecologist or something else. Any advice on this would be helpful.
You need an obstetrician-gynecologist (OB-GYN) who has good experience with deliveries, not just general consultations. Don't just go by fancy hospital names; find a doctor who actually answers your phone calls during emergencies. That is what matters in the end.
We chose a sweet lady gynac who was very close to my parents' home, so my mother could easily accompany me for checkups. It is so comforting to have a doctor who understands family values and guides you like an elder. Ask your parents for recommendations too.
With twins, I needed a high-risk OB-GYN who wouldn't panic looking at my double belly! General doctors are fine, but you need a specialist gynac who is associated with a hospital that has a great NICU setup. Just in case your double trouble decides to arrive early!
Gynacologist hi select karni chahiye pregnancy ke liye, ho na. Hamare area me jo sabse experienced gynac hain, maine unhe hi dikhaya. Doctor friendly honi chahiye bas, taaki hum sab dukh-dard share kar sakein.
You must consult a registered gynecologist and obstetrician right from the start. Self-medication or consulting general physicians for pregnancy issues can be very risky. Your gynac is the only one who can safely monitor your scans and prescribe safe prenatal vitamins.
Look for an obstetrician who supports active pregnancies. My gynac was amazing and guided me on what prenatal yoga poses and walking routines were safe for my body. Never start any exercise program without your doctor's explicit clearance, though!
