What kind of food should be taken during pregnancy?
Just entered my first trimester and my mom and MIL are both telling me different things to eat, im totally confused now. I want to make sure baby gets proper nutrition. What did u all focus on in your diet?
You dont need fancy expensive things yaar. Seasonal fruits, dal, eggs, peanuts, jaggery, spinach, banana, all cheap and nutritious. I ate normal ghar ka khana and my reports were good.
I had to watch sugar, so I focused on whole grains, protein and lots of veggies, small frequent meals. Cut down sweets and fried stuff. Everyone's different so it helps to ask your doctor especially if any sugar issue.
My family kept it simple, rice, sambar, lots of vegetables, curd, fruits and dry fruits in the morning. Amma added a glass of milk daily. Eat fresh and home food mostly, that's the best na.
Balanced diet is key, and dont skip your iron, calcium and folic acid that doc prescribes. Since I had thyroid I also kept my regular follow ups and asked about diodine rich foods. Definitely loop in your gynac on diet.
Protein, fruits, veggies, whole grains and plenty of water worked for me. I avoided too much junk and stayed hydrated. Listen to your body and your doctor's diet advice, every pregnancy is a bit different.
Just eat balanced and home cooked mostly, dal, sabzi, roti, rice, fruits, milk, eggs if you eat them. Add iron and calcium rich stuff like leafy greens and curd. Your gynac will give folic acid and iron tablets too, take those regularly.
Beta khoob fruits, milk, dry fruits aur green sabzi khao. Soaked almonds in the morning is good. But har ek ki body alag hai, so jo doctor bole wo zaroor follow karo.
