What kinds of exercises are safe during pregnancy?
Im 14 weeks and feeling a bit lazy and stiff lately. Want to start moving a little but scared of doing the wrong thing. What did u all do to stay active safely?
Walking, prenatal yoga, light stretching and breathing exercises are my go to, all cleared by my gynac. Avoid jumping, heavy lifting or anything on your back later. Always get the doctors ok first if you had any complication.
Honestly even a 20 min walk after dinner counts. I didnt have time for fancy classes so I did simple stretches and walking. Keeps energy up and helps sleep.
Just a gentle note, I was put on rest because of my situation, so please dont assume all exercise is safe for everyone. Confirm with your gynac which ones are ok for your pregnancy before starting.
Daily walking is the simplest and safest, I did it in both pregnancies and it really helped with delivery. Pelvic and breathing exercises too. Just nothing that strains the belly or risks a fall.
I stayed active with walks and some prenatal yoga and I do feel it helped my normal delivery. Nothing intense, just regular gentle movement. But every body is different so see what suits you.
