Oh god, gestational diabetes is my worst nightmare because my sweet cravings are next level right now! From what my doc said, fasting over 95 is the warning zone, so I am trying so hard to control my jalebi cravings.
I delivered just last month and my doctor told me fasting should be under 95 and post-meal under 120. Mine went up to 140 once and they immediately put me on a strict diet, so definitely check your reports with your gynac.
Sending you lots of love, please don't stress too much looking at the numbers. It is a very emotional phase and stress also increases sugar, so just share your report with your gynac and they will guide u beautifully.
When I first saw my post-meal sugar at 145, I felt so guilty and scared that I cried. But my doctor explained it's just placenta hormones and we managed it well with mild diet changes.
I won't give any medical ranges because everyone's body is different, but for me, my fasting was always around 90. Whenever it crossed that, my doctor would ask me to cut down carbs completely.
Haan, sugar levels can be quite tricky na. Mere case mein doctor said anything above 130 after eating is a bit high, so we had to monitor it closely every week.
When I was staying at my parents' house during my second trimester, my mom would make sure I had low-carb meals because my fasting sugar touched 100 once. It's best to show your exact reports to your doctor to see if you need a diet plan.
My mother-in-law suggested drinking methi water morning times to control sugar, but my doctor advised following the standard lab ranges strictly. Generally fasting above 95 is considered high in pregnancy, so do ask your doctor.
