Just got my positive test, im around 5 weeks i think. So happy but also nervous and dont want to do anything wrong in these early days. What things did u all avoid in the beginning?
My gynac listed it clearly, avoid raw/undercooked food, unpasteurised stuff, limit caffeine, no self medication, no x-rays without telling them. She said folic acid is a must in these weeks for the babys development. Rest is just normal sensible living.
Beta avoid papaya specially raw one, and too much heaty food, our elders always said that. Take rest but no heavy uthana baithana. And start the iron and folic tablets the doctor gives, that part is most important.
Actually dont overthink it yaar. Avoid the obvious stuff like alcohol, smoking, raw meat and random tablets. And honestly just dont lift heavy or stress too much. Folic acid lena mat bhoolna, thats the main one.
No smoking, no alcohol, no heavy lifting, and dont take any random medicine without asking the doctor. Start your folic acid if you havent. Other than that live normally, dont wrap yourself in cotton wool, I worked through both my early pregnancies fine.
Realistically, dont stress yourself out, dont skip meals, and dont pop painkillers when stressed like I used to. Cut down caffeine and avoid long standing if you can. I kept working, just listened to my body and took breaks.
