Just entered my pregnancy and im so paranoid about food now. Heard papaya, pineapple etc are no-no but not sure whats true and whats just gharwalon ki baatein. Can you all share what you avoided in early months?
Yaar, first trimester mein toh bas dhyan rakho ki kuch raw na ho aur outside food bilkul avoid karo. Papaya, pineapple, aur kachcha anda toh no-no hai. Baaki ghar ka fresh khana sabse best option hai, jyada tension mat lo.
Beta, zyada garam cheezein mat khana aur baasi khana toh bilkul nahi. Ghar ka saaf suthra khana khao. Meri mummy kehti thi jo mann kare bas thoda halka aur fresh ho. Sab acha hi hoga.
Mere ghar pe toh meri saas aur mummy ne mil ke poori list hi bana di thi! Mostly it's about avoiding raw seafood, undercooked meats, and certain fruits like papaya. Just listen to the elders, unko kaafi pata hota hai.
At my hospital, they gave me a detailed printout on what to avoid and what's good for each trimester. Don't hesitate to ask your gynac directly, they should provide clear guidelines. Sometimes the hospital dietitians also help with this.
Oh god, I totally remember feeling so anxious about this in my first trimester! I was literally googling everything before eating. Did you also feel like everything was a potential risk? It does get a little easier to manage later on.
Honestly, every pregnancy is different. I had thyroid issues during mine, so my gynac gave me a very specific list. Pls ensure you discuss your health history and diet with your doctor; they will guide you best.
Hey! I found some great info on pregnancy apps like BabyCenter and Ovia Pregnancy. They have specific sections detailing foods to avoid and why for each trimester. It's a handy reference, but always double check with your doc, haan.
