I am 25 weeks and side sleeping is making my hip hurt. Back sleeping feels comfortable but I keep hearing not to do it. Which position worked best for you?
Sweetie, the general advice is to try and sleep on your left side. It helps with circulation and keeps pressure off a major blood vessel. Use a pregnancy pillow or regular pillows to support your belly and between your knees for comfort. Don't worry if you occasionally wake up on your back, just gently shift back to your side.
Hah, 'good' position? At 3rd trimester, any position where I get 5 minutes of sleep feels like a 'good' position! But seriously, everyone says left side is best. My doc also recommended it. My back aches on the right. Still, comfort is king, even if it's just for a bit. 😩
Oh, sleep is such a luxury when you're pregnant, especially with all the discomfort! I found sleeping on my left side, with a pillow between my knees, helped a lot. It relieved some of the pressure on my back and hips. It also supposedly helps with digestion, which was a big plus when I had morning sickness.
My doctor always advised sleeping on the left side, especially as the pregnancy progressed. They said it helps with blood flow to the baby and prevents pressure on major veins. I found it uncomfortable at first, but with a pregnancy pillow, it became much better. Just my personal experience.
Yaar, left side pe sona sabse best bolte hain. Actually, it's about better blood circulation for you and baby. I used like 10 pillows to make myself comfy. If you can't manage pure left, then try to be slightly tilted left. It gets tricky towards the end, haan?
