Just got my positive report yesterday, still cant believe it! Its my first pregnancy and i honestly have no idea what all i should be careful about from now. Pls share what worked for you experienced mamas.
Dont skip the regular checkups and the important scans, those are not the place to save money. Plan your tests in advance. Otherwise simple ghar ka khana, good sleep and supplements do most of the work.
All the usual care plus one thing, never ignore warning signs. Bleeding, severe cramps, high fever, swelling with headache, less baby movement later on, call the doctor at once. I learnt that the hard way.
Light walking helped me a lot, kept energy up and digestion better. But only after my doctor said ok, dont start any new exercise on your own. Stay hydrated and avoid skipping meals, thats my main mantra.
Basics na, eat home cooked balanced food, take your iron and folic acid as prescribed, dont skip checkups and scans. Avoid heavy lifting and too much travel in early months. Rest properly and dont stress over small things.
Family will give you 100 rules ma, listen but use sense. Eat well, rest well, stay happy, do your scans. My amma added warm food and no lifting heavy. Anything serious, doctor first.
Take it easy beta, you dont need to follow a hundred restrictions. Eat nourishing food, take your medicines, go for checkups and avoid overexertion. And keep your mind calm, stress is also something to avoid.
My gynac gave me a list, avoid raw/undercooked food, papaya and pineapple in excess, no smoking or alcohol obviously, limit caffeine. Take prescribed supplements, sleep on left side later on, and report bleeding or severe pain immediately.
