Im just into my first month and bohot nervous because its my first time. Dont wanna do anything wrong by mistake. What all precautions should i take in these early weeks? pls guide.
Please book an appointment with your gynac as soon as you find out. They will give you the exact list of precautions and start your essential prenatal vitamins. Never take any advice over doctor's instructions during this critical phase.
First of all, congratulations dear! In the first month, just focus on taking your folic acid daily and eating freshly cooked meals. Avoid lifting heavy things, skip the raw papaya, and make sure you get plenty of rest.
I'm still pregnant and remember the first month being so nerve-wracking! I stopped doing heavy chores and cut down on tea. Did your doctor also advise you to avoid intercourse in the first few weeks, or is that just my gynac being extra cautious?
Based on my research and what my doctor explained, the first month is when the baby's neural tube develops, so folic acid is a must. She also advised avoiding unpasteurized dairy, raw foods, and hot water baths. Keeping your body temperature normal and eating clean is highly important.
Don't overcomplicate things in the first month. Just stop eating junk food, avoid lifting heavy buckets, and take your prescribed folic acid without fail. You don't need to stay on bed rest, just live your normal life but with a bit of caution.
The first month is extremely crucial and delicate. Please avoid any strenuous physical work, do not take any medicines without consulting your doctor, and skip foods like pineapple or raw papaya completely. Be very gentle with your body and stay in close touch with your gynac.
