What precautions to be taken in 8th month of pregnancy?
Just stepped into my 8th month and getting a little nervous as the date comes closer. Want to be extra careful now with everything. What precautions did you all take during this time?
8th month, slow down a bit yaar. Avoid heavy lifting, dont stand too long, eat small frequent meals because acidity gets bad now. Keep your hospital bag ready and watch your baby movements daily.
Take it easy now, beta. Rest, eat well, sleep on your side with a pillow, and keep stress away. Stay in touch with your doctor and keep things ready for delivery. You're almost there, no need to worry.
My gynac told me by 8th month, count baby movements daily and if i ever felt reduced movement i must come in immediately. She also said report any swelling in face or hands, severe headache, or bleeding without delay. Otherwise rest well, eat balanced and keep up your checkups which get more frequent now.
If youre working, this is the month to ease off and plan your leave. Dont sit too long at the desk, take short walks, keep your feet up when you can. Get your bag and documents sorted early so theres no last minute rush.
This is the stage to be alert. Please dont ignore warning signs like swelling, blurred vision, strong cramps, leaking fluid or less baby movement, go to the doctor right away if any of those happen. I learnt the hard way that early action matters.
My MIL kept telling me to rest more and not climb stairs too much in 8th month, and honestly she wasnt wrong. Take help with housework, dont be a hero. Just balance the home advice with what your doctor says.
