While early detection kits exist, they can sometimes give false negatives if urine is too diluted. It's best to test with your first morning urine, or just get a blood test done. I did my blood test and it confirmed it even before my sickness kicked in!
A blood test done at a lab is the earliest way to know, even before your missed period. But if you have any severe cramping or spotting early on, please don't just wait for tests and go see a doctor immediately to make sure everything is safe.
I completely get how torturous the waiting period can be, the anxiety of wanting to know early is so real. But trying home kits too early can give confusing faint lines which only increase tension. A blood test is the best option if you can't wait.
I panicked and took three home tests which all came negative because I tested too early. Later, I waited for 2 days after my missed period and got a clear positive. Don't worry if it's negative now, just wait a bit and try again.
My tracking app recommended using an "early detection" home kit, which can detect low hCG levels up to 5-6 days before your missed period. But honestly, for 100% accuracy, a Beta hCG blood test at a diagnostic lab is the fastest.
