Im in that horrible waiting phase and want to test as soon as possible without getting a false negative. There are so many brands at the chemist, totally confused. Which one picked it up earliest for you all? pls suggest.
From what I read, blood beta hCG is the most sensitive and earliest. Among home kits, the early detection ones claim a few days before period but they can be unreliable that early. I'd still wait for the missed period for the strip.
My doctor said the blood beta hCG test is the earliest, it can pick up pregnancy a few days before a missed period. Home urine strips work later, best after the period is missed. So if you want the earliest answer, the blood test at a lab is it.
Blood test detects earliest, hands down. Home strips are convenient but they need a bit more hCG so test those after missed period. If you really cant wait, go for the lab blood test.
The blood test is the most sensitive and earliest detector. Home urine tests are good but slightly later and need first morning urine. Your doctor can advise the right timing if you test too early.
I was so impatient and learnt that the blood test catches it earliest. The home ones gave me a faint confusing line too soon. So I'd suggest the lab test if you want a clear early answer.
