I was on a protein supplement before getting pregnant for my workouts and stopped immediately once i found out. Now my appetite is low and im worried im not getting enough protein. Is there any kind thats actually safe to take now? want to check with my doc but asking here too.
Dont pick a protein powder on ur own during pregnancy. Some are fine, some arent. Ask ur doctor and meanwhile eat protein rich food, honestly that covers most of what u need anyway.
My doctor told me a lot of commercial protein powders have additives, caffeine or herbs that arent tested for pregnancy. She said to prefer pregnancy-specific or doctor-recommended ones and focus on dal, eggs, paneer, milk for natural protein. Definitely check the label and with ur gynac.
I stay active and wanted protein too, but my gynac said dont just grab a random supplement, many have added stuff not meant for pregnancy. She recommended I get protein from food first and only take a powder she approved. Pls ask urs before starting any.
