Bit awkward to ask but i am 16 weeks now and we are confused about what is okay. Dont want to do anything that can be risky for the baby. can someone tell which ones to avoid?
Haha, for me, if it interfered with my ability to reach for a snack afterwards, it was too much effort! But seriously, just like choosing the right food, choose positions that are comfortable and don't put pressure on your belly. Side-lying positions are a winner. And remember, energy conservation is key!
With my little one, it was all about comfort for me. Anything that put strain on my back or belly was out. Side-lying or spooning positions worked best. The key is to be gentle, communicate with your partner, and ensure you're both relaxed. Your body will tell you what works.
Basically, avoid any positions that put weight or direct pressure on your growing belly, especially as you get bigger. Lying flat on your back might also get uncomfortable later on. Side-lying or positions where you control the movement are generally safer and more comfortable. Always listen to your body.
This is such a tricky topic, right? I'm in my second trimester and already feeling a bit unsure. My main worry is anything that could hurt the baby. Which positions did you all find safest as your belly grew? I want to be super careful.
I felt a bit awkward talking about this, but it's important! In my experience, any position that put direct pressure on my belly felt uncomfortable or wrong. We mostly preferred positions where I was on my side or on top, to control the depth and avoid pressure. Comfort is key, honestly.
Generally, if it feels comfortable and doesn't cause any pain, it should be fine. The main thing is to avoid putting pressure on your tummy. But if you ever experience pain, bleeding, or anything unusual after, you MUST call your gynac immediately.
Oh my god, I used to overthink this so much! I kept googling everything. Basically, as your bump grows, avoid positions where you're lying on your stomach or where your partner's weight is directly on your tummy. Anything that feels uncomfortable or causes strain should be stopped immediately. Just be mindful and listen to your body.
