What should be eaten in first trimester of pregnancy?
My nausea is bad so I am eating only small things like curd rice, toast and fruits. I feel guilty that I am not eating proper healthy meals. What simple foods worked for you in first trimester?
Same boat, I'm 9 weeks and confused too. So far doc just said normal home food plus the supplements. Anyone added anything special that really helped energy?
Honestly in first trimester whatever stays down is a win. I lived on khichdi, toast and curd those weeks. Eat small frequent meals, dont force big plates if nausea is bad.
Focus on protein, fruits and veggies and dont overdo sweets/fried stuff. I learned the hard way to watch sugar. Keep it home cooked and balanced and you are good.
Simple balanced ghar ka khana, dal rice roti sabzi, fruits, curd, eggs if you eat them. And take your folic acid for sure. Nothing fancy needed in first trimester.
My family always pushed milk, fruits and lots of greens. Idli, curd rice were easy on my stomach early days. But if you feel weak, tell your gynac, sometimes iron or B12 is needed.
