Just found out im pregnant, around 6 weeks, and everyone is suddenly telling me eat this dont eat that. Im confused what to actually focus on. Would love to know what a normal day of eating looked like for you all.
Amma made sure I had a mix of everything, rice, sambar, curd, fruits, dry fruits in morning. Nothing fancy, just home food cooked fresh. Trust your doctor for the supplements part though, family food alone isnt enough for iron.
Keep it simple and balanced, dal chawal sabzi roti, fruits, milk, eggs or paneer, nuts. Dont fall for eating for two, just eat well not double. Take your iron and calcium as your doctor prescribes.
I split mine into small meals every 2-3 hrs, the apps suggested that and it really helped with nausea and acidity. Protein, fruits, dairy and lots of water. Whatever plan you make, just run it by your gynac once for your specific needs.
You dont need costly superfoods honestly. Seasonal fruits, dal, eggs, peanuts, milk, leafy veg, all cheap and great. I saved money and ate really well. Just dont skip the prescribed iron and folic acid.
Dont stress about perfect diet charts beta. Eat fresh home food, variety thodi rakho, drink enough water and rest. Your doctor will guide on supplements at each visit.
Along with balanced meals I focused on protein and stayed hydrated, and did light walks my doctor okayed. Eating clean home food made me feel so much better than junk. Pair good food with gentle movement if your doc allows.
