What should be the sleeping position during pregnancy?
Honestly i keep waking up on my back and then panic ki kahin baby pe pressure na pade. Im in my second trimester now and my belly is showing. Which side is actually better to sleep on yaar?
Sleeping position changes a lot as your bump grows. Post C-section, it was even harder to find a comfy spot. Lying on my side with a pillow behind me was a lifesaver. Just listen to your body and try different things, whatever feels gentle.
Haha, sleeping? What's sleeping when you're pregnant? I was just busy dreaming about all the yummy food I'd eat after delivery! But on a serious note, a lot of pillows helped me find comfort, especially when I was craving something specific at night. Try a comfy pillow.
Oh, I remember that struggle! It felt like I could never get comfortable towards the end. Eventually, you just figure out what works for you. Don't worry, once the baby is here, you'll sleep in any position possible, haha. It all becomes a distant memory.
With twins inside, I literally felt like a giant mattress! My bed became a pillow fort just to get some sleep. Mostly I just rotated sides and hoped for the best. Good luck finding a spot, it's a mission! But you'll manage.
I totally freaked out about this in my first trimester. Everyone says sleep on your left side, but sometimes it's just not possible. Honestly, just try to be comfortable and use pillows for support. If you accidentally roll onto your back for a bit, it's okay, your body will wake you up.
It's always best to ask your doctor about this. For me, because of my gestational diabetes, I was really careful about everything including sleep. My doctor advised me against sleeping on my back, especially in the later months, to maintain good blood flow.
Getting a good pregnancy pillow can make a huge difference, but they can be a bit pricey. Try using extra regular pillows first – one between your knees, one under your bump, and one behind your back for support. It's a low-cost hack that helps a lot.
I can only share what worked for me, not what's medically correct. I mostly slept on my side, with a pillow between my knees. My doctor did tell me not to sleep on my back after a certain point, so I tried to avoid that.
