Im 3 months along and my MIL keeps telling me to eat saffron milk and coconut for a fair baby. honestly i dont know if any of this even works na. anyone whose elders said same things, did u actually follow them?
Beta in our time everyone said saffron milk and coconut. I drank kesar milk too but more for taste honestly. It wont change skin colour but good milk is anyway good for u, so no harm in a little.
If kesar made babies fair, half the country would be glowing yaar. Eat for energy and good growth, leave the colour to nature. Trust me nobody checks baby's skin shade in the delivery room, they just want a healthy cry.
Honestly baby's colour depends on genes, not food. I ate everything in both my pregnancies and my kids took after their dad and me. Just eat healthy for baby's growth, fair-gora wala chakkar chodo.
There's no food that decides fairness, it's all DNA. Better to focus on iron, protein, fruits and folic acid. My gynac literally laughed when my MIL asked her this same thing.
My amma also kept telling me kesar and milk na. I had it because I liked it, but baby's complexion is from us only. Eat balanced food, that matters way more for a healthy baby.
