What should i eat during 2nd trimester of pregnancy?
Finally my nausea is gone and i can eat properly again, so happy. Im 16 weeks now and want to use this phase to eat really well for baby. What foods should i be adding daily?
Beta in this stage we always added a little ghee, milk and homemade laddoos for strength. Dates and soaked almonds are good too. But take your iron and calcium as the doctor said, those are important.
My amma always made me eat a small bowl of ragi porridge in the mornings and it really helped me feel full. We also added lots of greens and curd rice. But honestly take your doctor's diet list seriously, that worked best for me.
Iam in my 5th month and always confused what to add. I try to eat every 3 hours so I dont feel acidic. Does anyone else feel hungry all the time in this phase?
Honestly I didnt have time to cook fancy. I kept it simple, roti sabzi, some nuts in my bag, a fruit at office and milk at night. Easy and balanced is better than perfect.
Second trimester is when your appetite comes back, so use it well. I focused on dal, eggs, paneer, fruits and a glass of milk daily. Just keep protein and iron rich food on the plate, rest your gynac will guide with the supplements.
This was my favourite phase honestly, food finally tasted good again. I went heavy on fruits, paneer and seasonal stuff but kept the junk in check. Treat yourself a little too, a happy mom eats better.
