Just entered my first trimester and suddenly everyone has a list of foods to avoid, its so confusing. My MIL says one thing, internet says another. Can u all tell me what u actually stayed away from in the early weeks?
Beta avoid raw papaya, our elders always said that and doctors agree too. Stay away from too much oily street food, it brings acidity. Eat fresh warm home food, light and simple is best in these early days.
Apart from the usual raw and undercooked things to avoid, i also watched sugary drinks and sweets a lot due to my sugar levels. Even if you dont have GD, going easy on sweets and processed food is wise. Check with your doctor about your own diet.
Dont overthink the food list yaar, basics are raw papaya, raw eggs, too much caffeine, avoid those. Otherwise just eat clean home food and youre good. No need to be scared of everything.
My doctor told me to skip raw papaya, raw sprouts, unpasteurised cheese, undercooked meat and fish high in mercury. Also limit tea and coffee. She said wash fruits and veg well too. Worth asking yours for a list specific to you.
Avoid papaya, pineapple in large amount, raw or undercooked eggs and meat, and unpasteurised stuff. Cut down outside junk and too much caffeine. Both times i stuck to simple home cooked food and felt better for it.
