We are trying for a baby since 2 months and im trying to track my timing properly. My period just got over 5 days back. What should I be doing now, is this around the right time? a bit clueless honestly.
Track your ovulation, thats the real key. After the period, your fertile days come in the next week or so. Use an ovulation kit if you want to be precise. And honestly, relax, both my kids happened when we stopped overthinking it.
Dont worry too much about exact rules. Eat well, stay healthy and time things around your mid cycle. If nothing happens in a few months, then a doctor visit will give you clarity. Give it time.
The simple version, your most fertile time is about two weeks before your next period is due. So plan around that, not just right after periods end. An ovulation predictor kit takes the guesswork out, easily available at chemist.
From what I learnt, the fertile days are usually around the middle of your cycle, roughly day 11 to 16 if you have a regular 28 day cycle. So the days right after your period end are the ones to start being active. A tracking app helped me figure out my window.
Just sharing carefully, with PCOS my cycles were irregular so counting days didnt always work for me. Ovulation kits helped me catch the right time. If your periods are irregular too, maybe see a gynac, they can guide better than guessing.
We are also trying so I read up on this. After periods, try to be together every alternate day during your fertile window so it covers ovulation. Dont put too much pressure though, my friend said stress makes it harder.
