Morning sickness is hitting me bad, i throw up almost every morning and feel so weak after. After vomiting i dont know what to eat or drink to feel a bit better. How do u all manage this?
After vomiting, make sure you rinse your mouth to protect your teeth from stomach acid, but don't brush immediately. Sip water slowly to stay hydrated, maybe with a tiny bit of salt and sugar if your levels allow. If you are throwing up everything, please check with your doctor.
Immediately rinse your mouth to get rid of the sour taste, but wait at least 30 minutes before brushing your teeth. Keep a bottle of water near you and take very small sips. Sucking on a piece of mishri or a dry biscuit also helps settle the stomach.
My gynac told me that vomiting can strip your body of electrolytes, so hydrating slowly is key. She advised waiting 15-20 minutes after vomiting, then sipping electrolyte water or ginger tea. If you can't keep even liquids down for 24 hours, contact your doctor.
Just rinse your mouth and rest for some time, don't force yourself to eat immediately. Once your stomach settles, try sucking on a small piece of ginger or drinking lemon water. It gets much better after the first trimester, trust me!
I just delivered a few months ago and had awful morning sickness. Right after throwing up, I would wash my face with cold water to feel fresh and lie down. Eating a plain salted cracker or dry toast after 15 minutes really helped settle my stomach.
I am currently going through this, and it is so exhausting! I usually rinse my mouth with cool water and lie down under the fan for a bit. Does anyone else get a bad metallic taste in their mouth after throwing up?
