This is my first pregnancy and i want to follow the right things from our deen also. Looking for what duas or practices others followed during this time. Pls share if u know, would mean a lot.
Look, the most important thing is to focus on your health and keep your prayers regular. Read Surah Yusuf for a beautiful child and Surah Maryam for an easy delivery, as it's traditionally believed. Most importantly, don't stress your body with fasting; you can always compensate for those fasts later.
Yaar, in this third trimester, even standing up for Salah is a big task, so I pray sitting on a chair now. I mostly spend my time lying down and repeating simple Dhikr like 'Subhanallah'. Islam is very gentle, so don't feel guilty if you are too tired to do elaborate prayers!
During my pregnancy, I found so much peace in listening to Surah Maryam and doing regular Dhikr. My elders advised me to stay calm and keep a positive environment, which really helped me feel connected to my baby. Just pray in a sitting position if standing becomes too tiring for you.
From a practical side, Islam gives pregnant women a lot of ease, like the exemption from fasting during Ramadan if it affects your health. Make sure you utilize this ease and focus on your nutrition and hydration instead. Praying is great, but don't strain your body if you have joint pain or dizziness.
I used Islamic pregnancy tracker apps that suggest specific daily Duas and Surahs for each week of pregnancy. Reading Surah Inshiqaq towards the end of my pregnancy really helped ease my delivery anxiety. It's a great way to combine spiritual practices with modern tracking!
