Im around 30 weeks and my pet aur thighs are itching like crazy especially at night. Skin feels so dry. Will check with my gynac next visit but wanted to know what others did for relief.
Mere ghar pe my MIL told me not to scratch with nails at all, otherwise marks reh jayenge. She made me apply cold raw milk on the itchy areas and it actually cooled down the skin. But if u feel itching all over the body, do ask your doc once.
I totally freaked out when my belly started itching like crazy, thought something was wrong! But actually my gynac told me it's just skin stretching. Applying lots of coconut oil after bath really helped me, so don't stress too much unless it is very severe.
With PCOS, I was always extra careful about any new symptom. For mild itching, cold compresses and heavy unscented moisturizers worked for me. But honestly, always mention this to your doctor because sometimes it needs a simple blood test to rule out any issues.
Oh, those itchy belly days! Looking back, I realize how much our skin stretches to accommodate the little one. I used to apply mild moisturizing lotion or aloe vera gel twice a day, and it got much better postpartum, so hang in there.
Please be very careful with itching, especially if it's on your hands and feet. I had severe itching in my third trimester which turned out to be a liver issue, so please inform your doctor immediately. Don't just rely on home remedies.
