Just crossed 36 weeks and honestly my appetite has gone up a lot but baby is pressing on my tummy so i feel full fast. Wondering what i should focus on now in this last stretch for energy and for labour. Pls share what worked for you in your final weeks.
Dont stress over a strict list. Eat fresh home food, stay hydrated, include some greens and protein, and rest well. Your body knows what it needs in these final weeks.
Whatever you eat, keep it balanced and not too much sugar in one go. I had sugar issues so I split meals into small portions. If you have any such condition, please follow your dietician chart.
My gynac told me to keep protein and iron up, drink enough water to avoid swelling, and have fibre rich food so constipation doesnt trouble in the end. She also added dates in the last weeks but said only because my pregnancy was low risk.
These last weeks I focused on light frequent meals because tummy felt full fast. Lots of fruits, dal rice, curd, and plenty water. Heavy fried stuff just gave me acidity, so I kept it simple.
Honestly I kept it realistic, idli, khichdi, fruit, dahi, soaked nuts. Easy to make and digest. Keep some dates also, my doctor said few dates daily in last month, but confirm with yours.
Warm home food is best now na. Rasam rice, curd rice, steamed veggies, soft fruits. Body is preparing for delivery so light and nourishing food keeps you comfortable.
Keep eating balanced, dont suddenly change anything in last weeks. Protein like eggs dal paneer, iron rich food, fruits and water. Small meals helped me because baby was pressing on stomach.
