Started my 5th month and appetite is back full force, feeling hungry all the time. Want to make sure im eating the right stuff for baby now and not just random snacks. What did you all focus on in this month?
In my 5th month I kept easy nutritious stuff handy because no time to fuss, like boiled eggs, fruits, nuts, curd, paneer rolls. Carry a snack to work so you dont skip meals. Iron rich food is key now, and dont forget the tablets.
Simple and affordable works great here. Spinach, dal, banana, soaked chana, peanuts, milk and seasonal fruits gave me everything. No need for costly supplements beyond what doctor prescribes. Eat home cooked and you're sorted.
By 5th month my nausea finally went and I could enjoy food again, such relief. I made up for the lost months with proper meals, greens and protein. If you're still feeling iffy, small frequent meals still help. Eat what agrees with you.
Fifth month your appetite improves so eat well but balanced. Lots of iron and calcium now, leafy greens, dal, paneer, milk, fruits, dry fruits. Keep taking your iron and calcium tablets that doctor gave, this is the growing phase.
By 5th month you'll feel hungrier dear, so good home food in proper meals. We focused on ragi, curd, rice, sambar, greens and seasonal fruits. My elders added a glass of milk with a pinch of turmeric at night. Take your prescribed supplements regularly.
