Oh tummy troubles in pregnancy are the worst. Eat small and plain, khichdi, toast, banana, and skip oily, spicy and dairy heavy food for now. The big thing is fluids, take ORS in sips. Avoid any anti diarrhea medicine on your own, ask the doctor for that.
Stick to bland easy stuff, that BRAT idea works, banana, rice, applesauce, toast. Curd rice with a little salt was my saviour. Most important is fluids, keep sipping water and ORS so you dont get dehydrated. If it lasts more than a day or you feel very weak, call your doctor.
At home we always gave curd rice, plain rice kanji and a banana when stomach is upset, very light and settling. Coconut water also helps replace what you lose. But if loose motions dont stop in a day or so, please call your gynac, dehydration is not good in pregnancy.
Light food and lots of ORS is the main thing. But I will add, if you have diarrhea with fever, blood, severe cramps, or it continues beyond a day, dont treat it at home, see your doctor. Dehydration can affect the baby so they need to step in.
