Just found out im pregnant, around 6 weeks. So excited but also clueless about food. nausea is also there so cant eat much. what did you all keep eating in the early days?
Early on I could barely keep anything down honestly. What worked was dry toast, bananas, curd rice, nimbu paani. Dont stress about perfect nutrition if you're nauseous, just eat whatever stays in and keep sipping water.
Idli, dosa, curd rice, ragi, lots of fruits worked well for me in the early months, light on the stomach. My mother kept giving me dates and nuts too. But always take the supplements your gynac gives.
Focus on folic acid rich food, leafy greens, dal, fruits, milk, eggs if you eat them. Small frequent meals help with the nausea. And take the folic acid your doc prescribes, thats important early on.
You dont need fancy expensive superfoods yaar. Seasonal fruits, dal, sabzi, eggs, peanuts, all cheap and great. The one thing dont skip is the folic acid your doctor prescribes.
I felt so confused about food in my first weeks. My doc told me just eat balanced home food, take folic acid, and dont skip meals. That simple advice calmed me down a lot.
