What to eat during first trimester of pregnancy india?
Just entered my first trimester and totally confused about diet, so much conflicting gyaan from everyone at home. Want a simple idea of good Indian foods to eat. Pls share what worked for u.
Keep it simple and don't force yourself to eat heavy meals if you have nausea. Stick to dry toast, basic dal-chawal, khichdi, and fresh fruits like apples. Focus on staying hydrated with coconut water and taking your folic acid regularly.
I just delivered a month ago, and my first trimester was full of food aversions. What worked for me was cold curd rice, chilled pomegranate seeds, and plain rotis with light ghee. Don't worry about eating a massive 'for-two' diet right now, just focus on keeping fluids down.
I panicked so much in my first trimester because I couldn't eat anything except parle-g biscuits and was so worried about the baby's growth! But my doctor reassured me that the baby gets enough nourishment in the early days anyway. Just eat whatever you can tolerate—sookha toast, banana, or curd rice—it is totally normal and will get better.
Haan na, starting mein khane ka bilkul mann nahi karta, ho na. Try eating light things like poha, upma, or simple dal rice with a little ghee. Heavy and oily food se nausea badhta hai, so keep it very simple.
First trimester is all about survival, my dear. Eat small, frequent meals instead of big ones so you don't feel bloated or pukish. Things like apple slices, roasted makhana, lemon water, and light moong dal khichdi are excellent and gentle on the stomach. Take care of yourself.
My baby is keeping me awake all night, but looking back, first trimester was its own level of crazy! Honestly, I survived on nothing but aloo paranthas and nimbu paani because everything else smelled like wet cardboard. Eat whatever your body tolerates, even if it's just plain boiled potatoes, your baby will be fine!
