Just entered my first trimester and bit clueless about what to keep eating daily. Nausea is also there so big meals are hard. Would love to know what u all had during these early months.
My amma made sure I had simple home food, dal, rice, curd, fruits and lots of water. Folic acid is the must in these first months, the doctor stressed that for the baby's development. Eat light and frequent if nausea is bothering you.
My gynac focused on folic acid, iron rich foods, protein like dals, eggs and paneer, and plenty of fruits and veggies. She said avoid raw or unwashed foods and unpasteurised stuff. The first trimester is more about quality than quantity, so balanced simple meals.
Yaar dont overthink the food charts in the early days. Eat balanced home food, take your folic acid, drink water, and dont feel guilty if all you can manage is toast on a bad nausea day. You are doing fine.
Honestly in my first trimester I just ate whatever stayed down, the nausea was brutal. Small frequent bland meals like toast, khichdi, fruit and dry snacks helped. Dont stress about perfect nutrition yet, keep taking your folic acid and eat what you can.
