What to eat during pregnancy for good breast milk?
Im in my last trimester and already thinking ahead about feeding. I keep hearing that what you eat now helps with milk supply later. Is that true? what foods did you all add to your diet for this, pls share.
Eat protein rich food, dal, eggs, paneer, nuts, and drink water like crazy. Frequent feeding actually boosts supply more than any single food. Dont skip your meals, that's the real key.
Soaked almonds, a bowl of oats and keeping a water bottle always near me kept my supply steady even after I started work. Quick stuff that fits a busy day. Pumping on time matters too.
I stressed so much about low milk in the start and that itself didnt help. Once I relaxed, ate proper meals and drank enough water, things improved. Be gentle with yourself, your body is doing a lot.
What helped my supply was simple things, lots of water, methi, oats, and dry fruits like almonds and gond ladoo. Honestly staying hydrated was the biggest one for me. Eat well and feed often, milk comes nicely.
Beta in our family we always gave gond ke ladoo, ajwain, saunf and lots of milk to new mothers. These are old trusted things and they do help. Just eat warm nourishing food and rest plenty.
My mother fed me lots of garlic, greens, and a special podi with my rice for milk. Plenty of warm water too. Combine the family foods with whatever your doctor suggests and you will do fine.
