At my last checkup the doc said baby weight is slightly less than expected for my week and i got a bit tensed. Im 31 weeks now and really want to help baby gain healthily through food. What did u all add to ur diet for this?
My doctor explained baby weight mostly picks up in third trimester so dont panic early. She told me protein is key, so I had eggs, dal, milk, peanuts daily plus seasonal fruits. Avoid junk, it adds your weight not baby's.
Dont stress only about baby weight yaar, eat full balanced. Dal chawal, ghee, eggs, paneer, fruits daily. In my second pregnancy I added one glass milk with badam at night and baby was a healthy weight.
Beta in our time we gave ghee, almonds soaked overnight and warm milk, it really helps. But also eat proper khana, not just dry fruits. Ask your doctor once also for safety.
My amma always gave me ragi porridge and lots of curd rice, said it helps baby grow well. But honestly the main thing my doc said was eat protein properly and dont skip meals.
Just be a little careful, baby weight is not about eating more sweets. Focus on protein and good fats, eggs, nuts, paneer. My gynac kept telling me quality over quantity, esp because of my sugar.
I keep worrying about same thing, my scan said baby is on lower side. Did anyone else have this? I started having more milk and dry fruits, hope it helps.
