My MIL keeps giving me saffron milk and oranges saying baby will be fair. I know its an old belief but everyone around me keeps talking about it. Does food really decide baby's complexion or is it just a myth? curious what others think.
If saffron made babies fair we'd all be eating it by the kilo haha! Colour is pure genetics, fair ya dusky, your baby will be the cutest. Eat tasty healthy food and chill.
Beta in our families they say kesar doodh and coconut, and there's no harm in those, they're healthy. But honestly skin colour comes from the parents, not the plate. Eat good, that's what truly matters for baby.
No food makes a baby fair, that's all genetics yaar. I ate saffron milk both times because elders insisted and my kids look exactly like us, not fairer. Eat for health and baby's development, skip the fairness idea.
Whatever colour your little one is, they're a blessing. Food cant change that, it's all god's design and genes. Just eat well, stay happy and positive, that's the best thing for both of you.
This is a myth that's been around forever. Baby's complexion is decided by genes, no diet changes it. Better to focus your meals on iron, protein and folate, that's what your gynac will actually tell you matters.
