What to eat during pregnancy to increase haemoglobin?
My last report showed hb a bit low and doc said to bring it up through diet first. Im 5 months now. Looking for actual foods that worked for u all, beetroot and dates im already trying.
Green leafy veg like palak and methi, dates, jaggery, beetroot, pomegranate and dals. Have vitamin C like lemon or amla along with iron food, it absorbs better. And take the iron tablet your gynac gave, food alone may not be enough.
At home amma made me drago beetroot and carrot, plus lots of greens and a glass of ragi. Sesame seeds too, til ladoo. Along with whatever iron the gynac prescribed it worked well for me.
Iron rich food helps but if your hb is really low, food wont fix it fast, the doctor's iron supplement is key. Avoid having tea or coffee right after meals, it blocks iron absorption. That small change helped many here.
Beta in our house we always gave dates, anjeer and beetroot juice to raise blood. Sookhe khajur khao roz. But also keep taking the doctor's iron, the two together work best.
Spinach, dals, beans and dates are great for iron. Since I had sugar issues I kept fruit portions moderate, but pomegranate and amla still fit in. Pair with citrus for absorption and dont skip the prescribed iron.
Haan to ye sab khao, palak, chukandar, gud, khajoor. Mere saath bhi hb kam tha na, doc ne iron di aur saath mein gud chana khaya, badh gaya. Tea khaane ke turant baad mat piyo.
