Im in my second trimester and the acidity is killing me, specially after dinner i feel that burning coming up. Want to fix it with food instead of always reaching for something. what do u all keep at home that actually helps?
Yaar acidity in pregnancy is the worst. Actually what saved me was buttermilk (chaas) and keeping a small bowl of cold curd handy. Cut down chai also, that was triggering mine badly.
Beta, thoda sa saunf chabao after meals, very simple ghar ka nuskha and gentle on the stomach. Cold milk also cools the burning. But if acidity is too much then do ask ur doctor before taking anything.
For me oats and plain dahi were soothing without spiking anything. I had to watch sugar so I avoided sweet juices. Try keeping food bland and cool, and check with ur gynac if heartburn stays bad at night.
I kept almonds and a banana in my bag for office. Small frequent snacks stop that empty stomach burning. Avoid eating then immediately sitting hunched at desk, walk a little after lunch.
Eat small meals often instead of 2-3 big ones, that helped me the most. Curd, banana, coconut water, and cold milk worked for me. Avoid spicy and oily, and dont lie down right after eating.
