My bp came a little high in last checkup and doc told me to watch my diet. Im 28 weeks. Confused about what all to add or cut, like should i fully stop salt? Pls share what u ate.
High BP in pregnancy is serious, pls dont just rely on food. I had it and they kept a close watch for pre eclampsia. Eat low salt yes, but make sure ur doctor is checking ur BP regularly and u know the warning signs.
Along with low salt food, my doctor allowed me light walking which helped my BP a bit. Potassium rich things like banana and coconut water were on my list. Only do any activity if ur gynac says ok though.
When my BP was borderline they told me cut down salt and packaged food first. Fruits, veggies, less namkeen and pickle helped me. But honestly food is only part of it, ur gynac should be monitoring the BP closely.
Less salt is the main thing actually. I stopped outside food and chips, started having more curd, bananas, leafy stuff. Easy to manage even with a busy schedule once u plan tiffin properly.
Beta in our home we always reduced salt and gave more ghar ka khana, no outside oily stuff. Lauki, fruits, these are good. But for BP do listen to the doctor, this is not something to take lightly.
