Entered my 7th month now and want to focus on what really helps in these last weeks. What foods did u all add for baby weight and energy? would love some real suggestions, not just the usual.
With work I kept easy stuff handy, boiled eggs, fruit, roasted chana, curd. Small meals every few hours so I dont get that heavy bloated feeling at my desk. Carry a water bottle everywhere, you need extra fluids now.
I watched portions a lot in the third trimester. More protein and fibre, less rice and sweets, and splitting meals helped my sugar stay steady. If you have any sugar concern please plan the diet with your doctor.
Last trimester I ate small frequent meals, big plates gave me acidity and breathlessness. Focus on protein like dal, eggs, paneer, plus fruits, dahi and lots of water. Keep iron and calcium foods going since baby is growing fast now.
You don't need expensive superfoods, simple ghar ka khana works. Dal chawal, sabzi, seasonal fruit, dahi, soaked almonds. I spent on nothing fancy and baby came out healthy.
Currently in month 8 and let me tell you, eating a full meal feels like a workout because there's no room left in there, lol. I just nibble small portions all day, fruits, nuts, khichdi. Anything that doesnt give acidity at this point is my best friend.
My mother fed me a lot of home food, idli, sambar, rice with ghee, plenty of vegetables and milk. Nothing complicated. Just eat balanced and keep up your supplements as your doctor said.
