What to eat to increase platelets during pregnancy?
My last report showed platelets thoda low and doc asked me to watch my diet. Now im tensed about what all to add in my food. If anyone has been through this pls share what worked for u.
I know how hard it is to eat when you're feeling so sick, but try small portions. Sip on fresh pomegranate juice or eat some sliced kiwi when you feel a bit better. Beetroot and spinach are also great, just take it slow and don't force your stomach.
I just delivered last month, and my doctor had me focus on iron and folate-rich foods because my platelets were on the lower side. I had lots of palak, dal, and amla. It really helped keep my numbers up for a safe delivery.
Oh, my platelets dropped slightly in my third trimester and I completely freaked out! But my doctor reassured me it's quite common. I started eating kiwi, beetroot, and pomegranate daily, and the levels stayed stable. You'll be totally fine, don't worry!
My mother-in-law insisted I eat beetroot and pomegranate daily, and my doctor also agreed it's highly beneficial. Foods rich in folate, vitamin C, and iron like spinach and kiwi help support platelet production. But do discuss your exact blood counts with your gynecologist to see if you need supplements.
My tracker app recommended focusing on folate and vitamin B12-rich foods to help boost platelets. Try including lentils, eggs, citrus fruits, and spinach in your meals. Also, stay super hydrated because it keeps your blood circulation optimal.
Time to make pomegranate and beetroot your new best friends, even if they stain your tongue red! Also, load up on green leafy veggies and kiwi. Just eat fresh, stay happy, and don't let those numbers stress you out, they will bounce back!
Pomegranate and kiwi are superfoods for this! 🥝 Also try having beetroot juice and fresh green veggies like spinach. Make sure you get enough rest too, your body needs it to build those platelets up! 😊
Currently in my 3rd trimester and practically living on kiwis and pomegranates to keep my counts up! My energy is at absolute zero, but these fruits really do help. Try eating spinach and lentils too, we got this mama!
While eating spinach, lentils, and citrus fruits helps, please don't rely only on diet. I had thyroid issues and learned that platelet drops can sometimes need proper medical monitoring. Keep getting your blood tests done regularly as advised by your doctor to stay safe.
I've heard from my elder sisters that eating pomegranate, kiwi, and green leafy vegetables like palak can really help naturally. I am also trying to conceive now, so I'm trying to include these healthy foods in my diet beforehand. Hope it helps you too.
