Just hit 17 weeks today and the nausea has finally settled a bit, feeling more like myself. Still no clear baby movements which im waiting for so eagerly. Mommies who crossed this week, what all changes did u notice around now?
My gynac said around 17 weeks the baby is about the size of a pomegranate, you may feel first movements, get round ligament aches and notice skin changes. She told me to keep an eye out for the anomaly scan coming up around 18-20 weeks. Mostly an easier and enjoyable phase.
Around 17 weeks I felt so much better, the morning sickness had finally eased and I had more energy. My little bump started showing too and I felt the first tiny flutters around then. It was such a happy phase for me.
By 17 weeks you're well into second trimester, usually the easiest phase. Appetite comes back, bump shows, and you might start feeling little movements. Just keep up your iron and calcium and stay active. Both times this was my favorite stretch.
With twins my 17 weeks bump looked like someone else's 25 weeks haha. Expect appetite back, some belly stretching aches and maybe early flutters. Take it easy, rest when you can, and enjoy this calmer phase before things get heavier.
I'm at 17 weeks right now too. Feeling stretching feelings in my belly and a bit of round ligament pain on the sides, anyone else? Doctor said it's the uterus growing but I still get a little anxious about every twinge.
