Starting my 6th month and feeling the baby kick more now which i love. Just want to be ready for whats coming this month, any new changes or things to watch for? Pls share ur experience.
The 6th month was my favourite, I felt the kicks all the time and it was magical. I did start getting backaches and leg cramps though. A maternity pillow and slow walks helped me so much.
Around 6 months I started feeling the tiredness creep back at work. I kept a footrest under my desk, took short breaks and stayed hydrated. Good time to slowly start planning your maternity leave too.
My doctor said baby's hearing is developed by now and it reacts to sounds, so we started talking and playing soft music. She also mentioned watching for swelling and keeping an eye on blood pressure. Movements should be regular.
6th month is around weeks 21 to 24. Bump is properly out, kicks get stronger, and you might get some back pain and heartburn. This is usually when the glucose test is done too, so keep that appointment in mind.
This is usually when the glucose tolerance test happens, mine flagged GD around then. So watch the sugary stuff and keep meals balanced. Dont panic if they ask for the test, its routine.
