This is my first pregnancy and i have so much time at home now in these months. I want to use it well, maybe learn something for myself or for the baby. what did u all pick up during this time?
Learn the practical baby things yes, but also learn to listen to your body and rest, dear. Half of it you will pick up naturally once baby arrives. Dont pressure yourself to know everything beforehand.
Realistically focus on a few useful things, baby basics, what to pack for hospital, and how feeding works. I learnt in short bits whenever I got time. Dont try to read everything, you will overwhelm yourself.
Learn breathing and basic labour techniques, breastfeeding tips, and newborn care like swaddling and burping. Trust me knowing these in advance saved me a lot of panic with my first. A prenatal class is worth it.
I am trying to learn breastfeeding and newborn basics right now because it all feels new and a bit scary. Did anyone do a proper prenatal class? Wondering if its really helpful or if videos are enough.
I used apps to learn week by week development and did online prenatal sessions for breathing and feeding. Also learnt to read my own warning signs, when to call the doctor. That knowledge gave me real confidence.
Apart from baby care, I think learning to stay calm and positive is so underrated. I used this time to slow down, do light reading, and just bond with the baby. A peaceful mind helps so much.
